A short lecture by composer Scott Wheeler will take place in the Smith Auditorium lobby extension before the March 8 concert. Wheeler will talk about his composition The Singing Turk, a sonata for violin and piano that is included on the afternoon's program. This will be Shaham's 20th performance of the piece since Wheeler completed it in 2017. The 20 minute lecture will begin at 3:10.

Normally concert tickets are interchangeable for all concerts in the season, so those who miss a concert can use those tickets to take a friend to a later concert in the series. For the upcoming Gil Shaham/Akira Eguchi concert, for which the tickets were more expensive, one of the non-Shaham tickets and $10 can be exchanged at the box office for a Shaham/Eguchi concert ticket.
